I thought I would put a picture up of our dog Rona. She is a very "special" dog. She sits like a dork and I think she is narcoleptic. She will sit down and then instantly fall asleep and start falling over! Tuesday, February 2, 2010
Total Randomness
Well, I am officially a quarter of a century old. It's hard to believe how time goes by. It seems like I say that every time I post, but it's so true! In other news....Richard finally convinced Ernie to try snowboarding. At first Ernie didn't like it a whole lot, but in the last hour and a half, he really started to enjoy himself. So needless to say, he now wants to invest in his own board and gear. He also really wants me to get into it too, so here in the next few weeks, I will be attempting it myself. So let's hope it goes well!!

Time's Flying!!
I can't believe that January is already almost over! I'm going to be a quarter of a century old in a few weeks! It's pretty crazy. There are lots of milestones this year; Ernie and Cortney will be 30, Shaley will be 16, Grandpa will be 75 and Grandma will be 85! Isaiah is going to be 4 and Austin will be 2. I just can't believe it!! I had a photo shoot with my friend last week. She took sexy like boudoir ones for me. I can't tell you how great it makes you feel about yourself when you get them back and you actually look pretty sexy!! It's a big confidence booster! They were supposed to be for Valentine's Day, but I couldn't wait to share them with Ernie! I wish she would've been taking pictures when I was pregnant, that would have been some good memories. I had some taken with Isaiah, but not Austin.......jpg)
I finally have sold all of our baby stuff. It's a bittersweet feeling to know that you are done having kids. Some days I would love to have more, but other days I am very satisfied with 2!
Poor Ernie has started going to the Spa and playing racquet ball. Last night, Rich hit him in the eye like twice, so now he has a black eye. Poor guy!!

Happy New Year!
Well, I know it's been awhile since I posted anything. We had a pretty busy December! We had a great Christmas. Isaiah was SO excited about the whole thing. He got the big boy bike that he asked Santa for, so he was elated!! Austin wasn't into the whole thing very much, but hopefully next year he will be more excited! We are looking forward to a great year in 2010. Lots of big birthday's coming up!!

We also got a new puppy for Christmas! He is a long haired Chihuahua that Isaiah named Candel. He is a sweetie. He has slowly turned into my dog. He follows me everywhere and sleeps on my lap all the time. Rona loves to play with him. They chase each other all the time. Austin also loves to pick him up and hold him. He is very good with both of the kids. When he has had enough, I just put him in his puppy box and he crashes!

The kids enjoyed playing in the snow we got the other day. Isaiah kept throwing snowballs at me and Austin. Candel had a lot of fun too. I had to bribe the kids with hot chocolate to get them to come in the house.

Time Flies
Well, my baby is 18 months old today. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. It seems like just yesterday he was born and now he's a little terror, I mean toddler, running around the house. We are going to have a special dessert to celebrate tonight. I just haven't decided what. Maybe brownies. I know he likes them!
Some times I wonder....
Well, apparently, Austin doesn't enjoy eating his own food in his own chair. But, as soon as Isaiah gets down from the table, he has no problem climbing up and finishing what's left on his brother's plate. Kind of reminded me of his Aunt Shaley!!! I think the real reason Austin doesn't eat and throws his food all over the place is because he knows the dogs will get to come inside. That makes me sound like the laziest person alive, but I figure it gets the dogs in the house, and that way they still get some table food without begging under the table. We call them our vacuums. It's amazing how well they clean up!!!

All Warm and Fuzzy
Well, I am very proud of Isaiah. This weekend we went through all of our toy boxes and donated TONS of toys to Goodwill. He was very reluctant at first, but when I explained that they would be going to little boys and girls that didn't have many toys, that made him feel much better. When we went to drop all the loot off, he got very upset. He asked me "MOM, why did you give the toys to that MAN!! They are supposed to go to the kids!" I had to explain to him that the man had to go through all the toys first and then he would get them to the kids. He is too funny! Austin had no problem getting rid of things. He was throwing anything and everything in the bags! I had to go through and pull a lot of stuff back out. I also went through all of our jackets and winter items and got rid of a lot. It made me feel good to donate it to people who need it.
Now I'm in the process of selling all of my baby stuff. I have been reluctant to do so because even though we don't want any more kids, I am paranoid that we are going to have a "whoopsie" no matter how many precautions we take!! But I've finally decided that there is no point to hold onto all of it. If I do get pregnant again, we'll just deal with it then. I think I would lose my mind if we had another child. I've got all that I can handle.

Just another day
Well, nothing really new going on in the Cardona house. We finally gave Austin a haircut yesterday. MAN was that an adventure!! He is terrified of the clippers, so he screams the whole time. Even with Ernie and I both tackling this task, it is very difficult!! But he looks very grownup with his shorter hair.........I just went to take Austin's picture and discovered that they are playing "superboys" in Isaiah's room. They sit on his headboard and then jump off and pretend to be flying. They are too funny.
