Time Flies

Well, my baby is 18 months old today. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. It seems like just yesterday he was born and now he's a little terror, I mean toddler, running around the house. We are going to have a special dessert to celebrate tonight. I just haven't decided what. Maybe brownies. I know he likes them!

Some times I wonder....

Well, apparently, Austin doesn't enjoy eating his own food in his own chair. But, as soon as Isaiah gets down from the table, he has no problem climbing up and finishing what's left on his brother's plate. Kind of reminded me of his Aunt Shaley!!! I think the real reason Austin doesn't eat and throws his food all over the place is because he knows the dogs will get to come inside. That makes me sound like the laziest person alive, but I figure it gets the dogs in the house, and that way they still get some table food without begging under the table. We call them our vacuums. It's amazing how well they clean up!!!

All Warm and Fuzzy

Well, I am very proud of Isaiah. This weekend we went through all of our toy boxes and donated TONS of toys to Goodwill. He was very reluctant at first, but when I explained that they would be going to little boys and girls that didn't have many toys, that made him feel much better. When we went to drop all the loot off, he got very upset. He asked me "MOM, why did you give the toys to that MAN!! They are supposed to go to the kids!" I had to explain to him that the man had to go through all the toys first and then he would get them to the kids. He is too funny! Austin had no problem getting rid of things. He was throwing anything and everything in the bags! I had to go through and pull a lot of stuff back out. I also went through all of our jackets and winter items and got rid of a lot. It made me feel good to donate it to people who need it.
Now I'm in the process of selling all of my baby stuff. I have been reluctant to do so because even though we don't want any more kids, I am paranoid that we are going to have a "whoopsie" no matter how many precautions we take!! But I've finally decided that there is no point to hold onto all of it. If I do get pregnant again, we'll just deal with it then. I think I would lose my mind if we had another child. I've got all that I can handle.

Just another day

Well, nothing really new going on in the Cardona house. We finally gave Austin a haircut yesterday. MAN was that an adventure!! He is terrified of the clippers, so he screams the whole time. Even with Ernie and I both tackling this task, it is very difficult!! But he looks very grownup with his shorter hair.........I just went to take Austin's picture and discovered that they are playing "superboys" in Isaiah's room. They sit on his headboard and then jump off and pretend to be flying. They are too funny.

Funny start to the day

Well, I wanted to share what Isaiah did this morning because it made me laugh. Austin and I were up playing for awhile before Isaiah got up. When he did wake up, he came out of his room and called Good Morning. Then when I looked at him he had a hat on his head. He told me he had to put it on before Christmas! He's such a goofball.

Haircuts and Lollipops

Well, we couldn't handle Isaiah's hair anymore, so I finally cut it today. It was so cute. When we were finished he ran out of the bathroom saying "Daddy, Bitty, I'm handsome!" After I told him he could have some Halloween candy, so he picked his "pumpkin" lollipop that Great Grandpa gave him. So of course, if one is eating something, the other has to eat it too.

Already November

Well, I thought I would share a picture of Austin in his new favorite hang out. The time change sure has us a little messed up and grumpy. The kids included! Isaiah is very upset today because he wants his pumpkin. He keeps yelling at me because he thinks I got rid of it! They are still out on the porch for now, but he sure doesn't need to know that! I think he definately is going to need a nap today!

First Snow of '09

Well, it snowed for the first time the other day. I was NOT expecting to wake up to all the snow....It snowed that night again as well...But I digress....the boys were very excited about all the snow. Austin is my wonderfully hard-headed child and refused to wear a hat when I let them out to play in it. I don't know how I'm going to keep his little noggin warm this winter! Isaiah had a lot of fun playing in the snow. He was making tracks and then he would turn around and follow them like they were animal tracks! A hunter in the making there. Austin had a hard time moving around in the snow since it came up to his knees, but he figured out that if he held onto the fence, he could maneuver quite well!

Pumpkin Carving

Well, the boys carved their first pumpkins last night. Neither one of them really liked doing the dirty work, but they sure loved seeing them with the lights off when we were finished!

Bitty Bit

I think that Austin is one of the most accident prone children ever born. He is very adventurous, but he usually always ends up hurting himself somehow. Today he was playing on a chair and the next thing I knew, the chair had fallen over. His poor little nose is now all red and swollen. What am I going to do with him?

Halloween

Well, today is Halloween. I just wish it wasn't so cold so we could have more fun trick or treating! But Isaiah is very excited. He is going to be a T-rex. I will make sure to put some pictures up later today.........Well, we have returned from the wonderful adventure of trick or treating. We went to the mall with our friends and their kids. Holy Crap!! Way too many people for me and Ernie. Especially Ernie. We all know how much he LOVES crowds!
